Faiz Nasir described his stunning winner in Kelantan Red Warrior FC’s 2-1 victory over Kedah FA as a very special and joyful moment, not only for himself but for all Red Warriors supporters at Stadium Sultan Muhammad IV, Kota Bharu.

The diminutive midfielder unleashed a powerful left-footed strike from outside the penalty area in the 69th minute, finishing off a neat layoff from Fazli Ghazali and beating visiting goalkeeper V. Rajendran for the second time on the night.

The goal proved decisive, as the scoreline remained 2-1 until the final whistle, securing all three points for Kelantan Red Warrior FC in front of more than 1,600 fans.

“I’m very happy with that goal, and you could see it from the way we all celebrated together,” said Faiz.

“It wasn’t just for me, but for everyone — especially the Kelantan supporters who were in the stadium.”

“We stayed confident and once again showed our character to take all three points despite facing a tough challenge throughout the match,” he added.

The victory keeps Irfan Bakti’s side firmly on track to remain among the leading teams in the league, even with a demanding schedule ahead of them before the month of Ramadan.

Next up, Kelantan Red Warrior FC will travel to the Klang Valley for their upcoming Liga A1 Semi Pro fixture against UM – Damansara United.
