Kelantan Red Warriors FC capped off 2025 in style with a 2-0 victory over Bunga Raya FC in the A1 Semi-Pro League 2025/26 this evening, maintaining a clean sheet to close out the year on a high.

The win was sealed through first-half goals from top scorer Emmanuel Mbarga and winger Zuasyraf Zulkiefle at the Tampin Stadium, Negeri Sembilan.

First Half Control

Both teams initially struggled to adapt to the uneven pitch, with the first major scare coming in the 9th minute when Bunga Raya’s Azarul Nazarith nearly turned the ball into his own net while attempting to stop Zuasyraf Zulkiefle’s run, forcing goalkeeper Nik Mohd Amin into a reflex save.

The deadlock was broken in the 28th minute when Che Mohd Arif’s foul on Fazli Ghazali led to a penalty, confidently converted by Mbarga for his 15th goal of the season.

Just five minutes later, a miscommunication between goalkeeper Nik Mohd Amin and captain S. Veenod allowed Zuasyraf Zulkiefle to capitalize on the error, doubling KRWFC’s advantage in front of around 150 traveling supporters.

Bunga Raya FC’s attempts to recover were thwarted by the Red Warriors’ solid defense and wasteful finishing, sending the visitors into halftime with a two-goal cushion.

Second Half Highlights

The tempo increased after the break, with Mbarga coming close in the 52nd minute as his strike was tipped onto the crossbar by Nik Mohd Amin.

Both sides exchanged attacks afterward, but most efforts lacked precision or power to trouble either goalkeeper. KRWFC came close again in the 81st minute when Mbarga’s shot was parried, followed by Rafie Mat Yaacob’s attempt which was also smothered before Mbarga slotted home — only for the referee to disallow the goal for an alleged foul in the buildup.

Late in the match, Bunga Raya FC nearly grabbed a consolation when Dalan Rajendran’s powerful strike drifted just wide of Shafiq Afifi’s goal, preserving the Red Warriors’ clean sheet.

Strong Finish to the Year

The result marked KRWFC’s seventh victory of the season and their ninth clean sheet in the campaign. The team now sits seventh in the league standings with 26 points, wrapping up the first round of the 2025/26 A1 Semi-Pro League on a positive note.

A strong defensive display and clinical finishing ensured Kelantan Red Warriors ended the year with renewed confidence heading into the next phase of the season.
