Kota Bharu – Kelantan Red Warriors FC has arranged three pre-season friendly matches during the 2025/26 A1 Semi-Pro League break coinciding with international fixtures.
Operations Manager Nik Khuzaimi Nudin confirmed that two Super League teams and one Amateur League club have agreed to face Irfan Bakti’s squad, though opponents and venues have yet to be disclosed.
Strategic Preparation
According to Khuzaimi, these matches are designed to fine-tune performances across all positions while helping players adapt to the tactical style demanded by the head coach.
“The extended break, combined with our Malaysia Cup aspirations, means we must remain match-ready at all times,” Khuzaimi explained.
“These three fixtures will provide the ideal preparation as we approach the final two matches of the first phase at the end of this month, where we’re fighting for one of three slots to advance to the Malaysia Cup.”
“Two Super League clubs and one amateur club have confirmed their participation. InshaAllah, we will update the schedule and match details once finalized with our opponents.”

Kelantan Red Warriors FC are currently well-positioned to compete for a top finish and secure Malaysia Cup qualification. The team has displayed consistent form over their last seven matches, sitting sixth in the league standings with 22 points from 13 games.
The friendly matches will serve as crucial preparation as the Red Warriors look to maintain their momentum and secure their place in the nation’s oldest cup competition.
